Milwaukee SDS-Max Core is a high-performance one-piece carbide tipped core bit designed for drilling large holes with relatively shallow depths. This core bit efficiently cuts a kerf only, requiring the operator to remove the inside core before deeper drilling can be achieved. For optimal use, it is to pair it with the centering bit 48-20-5495 (sold separately), and the drift key 48-20-5497 is used to remove the centering bit from the core bit. Available in SDS-Max or Spline shanks, these core bits come in various diameters ranging from 1-1/2” to 6” with overall lengths of 11-3/8” or 22” and a drilling depth of 3”.
