The TurnMaster accepts any of the three standard cutters as well as a wide range of specially configured cutting tips designed to work seamlessly with it. The tool incorporates a patented interchangeable cutter head that locks into three positions, ing both scraping for fast material removal and shear scraping for fine finishing and smoothing. The round shank has a flat underside for stability on the rest, secured by a high tensile strength torx screw to keep cutters tight. It also includes a special key for quick cutter release. Cutters come in three materials: tungsten carbide (TC), high speed steel (HSS), and titanium nitride (TiN) coated Excelsior tips, allowing turners to select the i cutter for their specific materials. Tungsten carbide is for roughing and abrasive materials like high silica exotic woods, HSS provides clean detail and fine finishing, and the TiN coated tips enhanced toughness and prolonged edge life while remaining re-sharpenable.
