This compact lamp is a neat sized, self-ballasted fluorescent lamp that provides plenty of UVB light - great for a desert reptile. It is to combine a high UVB output (Reptile UVB 5.0 and 10.0) with a very high visual light output (Natural light 2.0) for optimal results. Fluorescent bulbs do not provide sufficient heat. A separate heat source is required - such as a basking lamp.
